Here's my double challenge card covering Monday's Shabby Chic CAS Challenge Forums at Splitcoaststampers and today's Color Challenge Forums at Splitcoaststampers. This stamp set is a little out of my comfort zone, but I'm really glad I got it because it's A LOT of fun to use. What do you think of my card?
I started with a Confetti White card base and distressed the edges with my fingernail. (I couldn't find my distressing tool anywhere! Eeek!) I then stamped the square-ish dot image with Dusty Durango and the feathery image with So Saffron in a random pattern. I decided to play along with Betty's dessert option in the Color Challenge and pulled out one of my Elegant Trio stencils and stenciled in the fleur di lis image with Rich Razzleberry ink and a Sponge Dauber. With the stencil still in place, I spritzed over the fleur di lis with Gold Smooch Spritz. Can we you see it in the picture? It's VERY cool in person!
To finish it off, I stamped the crown with Basic Black ink on the card, once more on So Saffron cs, cut out the So Saffron piece and adhered it the card with a Dimensional.
