Oh, my little heart is heavy this morning...my best friend Diane's dad just passed away this week. I know now that my card was inspired by Jimmy". (his name was James). I was glad to be with Deena while making this card, she probably doesn't know how much being together helped me so much. Thank you my friend.
I will be leaving for the service this afternoon, so doing the IC today with Pat maybe, will be another way of healing too. But you know, when I finished my card, I looked at it and saw a funny thing and I told Deena. This is just the kind of place that Jimmy would love to be, he comes from New-Brunswick. I like to think he inspired me that way.
Seems like everything fell into place for F4A challenge, because that's when the scene idea came in. Deena took out her STAMPSCAPE stamps and we played with them. I spotlighted the birds. Deena thought that was a good idea for a sympathy card. Very symbolic and beautiful. Then, when I got back and saw what our Twisted sister challenge was, to make a man card and metal, the little brad is all that I added, being somehow symbolic of Jimmy's spirit itself soaring high and free.
Thank you for looking.

What a lovely sympathy card. This will be so comforting. I really like how you used spotlighting for the birds in the sky. A very nice layout--I like how you used hemp twine and soothing colors. Nicely done

Someone was looking over your shoulder while you made this card. How beautiful.

Peggy, these are the most difficult cards to make, especially when your memories flood your brain, and your heart. I know your heart is big enough to give Diane the courage she needs to get past this day. Your card will convey the love you have for her family- the detail is outstanding. Hugs to you sweet friend. Love you, mean it....

Peggy, so sorry for your hurting heart. This is a beautiful tribute to Jimmy and great comfort for his remaining family. Deena must be a real sweetheart to help you when you are down. Stay strong for your friend Sweety and know that we are thinking of you.

Oh, Peggy you already know how wonderful I think this card is, as I saw firsthand how much you put into the making of it. You stamp from the heart my friend. Never second guess yourself! I hope today wasn't too hard on you at the service, but I'm sure Diane was comforted by your presence!! HUGS

Peggy, sorry to hear about Jimmy..... I can see the love in this one and I love how you added so many details that represent him - that is how you get a perfect Sympathy card. This is a great card for the TS challenge too. Hope you were able to find some peace this weekend.
