Shazam! Blaaam! Kaboom! ItÂ’s a tea party in da BatmanÂ’s bat cave today. Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na.....Batman!!!!
It seems Aunt BeBatrice is coming to visit her 42,000 year old sister, Felisha Batisha. Poor Auntie Felisha hates black and canÂ’t stand the dampness and smell of the bat cave. ThatÂ’s why her sister, BeBatrice, is coming to check on Felisha to make sure sheÂ’s in good hands. Da Mudder asked that we help out by bringing exotic flowers, beautiful birds or anything that smells good to help gussi up the Bat Cave so Aunt BeBatrice doesnÂ’t know the real story and get upset to see that her poor sister has been living in the damp, dank, darkness of the bat cave.
Bertie assisted in the making of my card today. She was quite drawn to the blackness of the teapot and wanted to do a totally black card for da party today. As some of you know, Bertie likes to fling things, too. Be on the look out for 42,000 flying graduation caps today! Splat! Bertie thought da tea partiers should have bat hats to guard the tea partiers against the bats in the cave today. Sorry that she thinks she has to fling 'em at cha ya'll.
I told her she was totally missing the point with da MudderÂ’s request to bring flowers or sumpinÂ’ that smells good to help poor Auntie Felisha Batisha. Well, we settled on a compromise. I let Bertie have the black base and texture of the teapot, while I added in some pretty smellinÂ’ Pocket Silhouettes for Felisha.
Hope to see ya'll at da party today! Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na.....Batman!!!!
ETA: Lest ya'll think I'm from the "dark" side (sshhhh! don't tell anyone Bertie is related to the Dark Knight), this graduation card is mostly black for a reason. It's for my second cousin's high school graduation, and her school colors are black and white.

Aww..Hog wash! Bertie was 100% responsible and Gertie told me so! Charlene, when you gonna wise up girlfriend! OMG! You are so gullible!
And lemme tell you, I get called to the War Room in the Bat Cave for questioning, you are the first I am coming looking for! Cuz whereever you are, Bertie is not to far away......Did you See Aunt BeBatrice's hair, a bat hat gets stuck in that stuff and we will never get it out, specially with all the real live bats already living there! You tell Bertie (and I will find Gertie) to meet us by the Bat Mobile...We will show them just how we are getting them home if they can't behave themselves! Gertie was such a good hearted, fun loving wonderful epitome of the perfect behaving little child until she met Bertie!
Whatcha gotta say about that.....besides...your graduation caps look like Bats with lion tails! Nanner, Nanner!
Whisper: Can you introduce me to the Dark Knight????? Pretty Please!!!!

A card any bat or graduate would appreciate! Not sure if it was Gertie, Bertie or who made the card but with all those hats and bats flying who will notice the smell. Your black on black bkgrd. is eyecatching.

Some bats and hats and elephants, but sure as you're born
You won't see Aunt Felisha on a unicorn!
I see we're both a tad on the "dark side" this week.
Love your graduation card! For some reason grad cards are really hard for me - must be since I graduated so long ago. Love the embossed caps on the black, and the added touch of color with your sentiment panel.

Bertie, heeeeeeeeeeelp I am being kidnapped by some tall, dark knight, well we can leave Christian or is it Christina Bale with Cindy. (His voice is so scary to me anyway and he's way toooo young for me.) I did have to follow Michael, a 42x000 feet yacht is a one in a lifetime thing. And the cave here is just so right. We have tea, and reaaaaal strong it is. Come on over Bertie and we can fling diamonds all over the ballroom, yep, talk about your humungous yacht huh!
Your cousin will love the beautiful flowers that softens it just enough for a lady! It is good to see you cutie pie too you know Charlene. Can this party get any crazier...I hope so!!!
What's that stuff in your hair poor girl, is that bat poop! Bwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh

What an AWESOME card, especially since it was a compromise! How wonderful to get what you both wanted combined into one BEAUTIFUL card! Loved your story too!

Well wasn't it just great that a black bat cave worked out so well for a graduation card!! No worries about the cage, I don't think it's big enough for Bertie, it was designed with smaller bats in mind. And as for the hats - yes please! We didn't have a lot of head-gear in our dressing-up trunk when we were little, there was one mortarboard just like the ones Bertie's flinging, and my grandfather's wig (he was a judge) which was pretty prickly and scratchy, if the truth be known. I suspect that if there are a lot of bats flying around, you might find a lot of people actually queuing up to have Bertie fling a cap at them .
Love those dainty little flowers.
