Today's WT was to use a pin on our card. Julia didn't know it, but it was a perfect one for me with Mother's Day around the corner.
It's quite a long story so if you'd rather skip it, you won't hurt my feelings! Back in the 60's the Villager clothing line...remember those clothes?.... had a junior division called "Ladybug". The beautiful cotton voile print blouses(think Liberty of London) came with this ladybug straight pin put on the collar. I loved the blouses, my mother loved the ladybug pins. So I always gave them to her. She would wear them on the back of her right shoulder on her dress suits and dresses. People would come up to her and tell her she had a ladybug on her....and she'd say, "Thank you. I know, it's good luck". She's been gone for 24 years now, but today's challenge brought back this wonderful memory for me! Thanks SO much, Julia!
Thanks to the rest of you for bearing with me as I went down Memory Lane. TFL

Such a sweet card, and all the sweeter because of your lovely memory of your Mom. Love that she would put the lady bugs on her shoulder... and I love this tribute card to her.

Lovely card, great colouring and heart warming memories. This card is definitely a keeper! Hope you frame or scrapbook it but definitely keep it nearby for memories sake.
Love the way you've colored the flowers and the ladybug pin is great! What a fun memory of your Mom--she must have gotten quite a kick out of fooling people!
