Poor Ruby Tuesday, the Flat Footed Booby. All her friends are wearing shoes by Manolo Blahnik or Jimmy Choo, and she's stuck with flat birdy feet. Having to wear orthotics, I kinda know how she feels, so I brought her a pair of my favorite Birkenstock sandals. For her brother Scoop, I brought an anchor so he can slow down the snorkelers.
I drew Ruby, colored her with Copics and clear embossed the image before sponging the sand and sky. Stamped the leaves and colored with markers. Placed on a layer of black and dotted the edges.
Thanks for looking.

OMG!!! Okay, I am beginning to think the Teapotters aare a collection of amazing people that are actually arteests!!! (Me excluded!) I love how you can just draw an amazing booby Ruby and put her on a fun little card surrounded by sand, clouds, vegetation and a present for her brother, Swoop! This is so fun! Birkenstocks, why didn't I think of that! They are perfection....and I betcha they make them with a 12 inch heel too, just in case she is not quite over the whole stiletto idear! Giggle!
Hilda, you rocked this one! Hee! You arteest you!!! Somebody needs to keep an eye on Swoop....I worry he might get tangled up in the anchor and find himself at the bottom of the ocean trying to swoop back up!

Ms Hilda Broom, all I can say is "YIKES, GIRL" Holy Moly, so you're a resident artist too I see. I love this fun and funky Ruby. That girl's got it going on let me tell you that! She's a little different for me, but oh baby, I'm so certain she takes the wind right out of her colleagues! Totally fabulous. Incredible art work; magnificent design. I'm running outta words over here girl, so just come up with some more and I'll agree to any words you want to use to describe this work!

What a beautiful drawing of BR! This is just too sweet. Love the similarities with the teapot of course and those sandals. Crazy gorgeous! TFS Always fun to see your cards.

Super cute card and image (how impressive you drew it - it would make a super stamp). I love the scene. I am so with you on the shoes - my pair was so impractical!
