I watercolored the cat on the chair stamp from the Peace Within set using water color crayons and a blender pen. watercoloring isn't my forte, but I am trying to get better.
I used various shades of browns, greens yellows to create the colors I wanted. I colored the sky with two shades of blue and the grass is certainly celery. the cat is really rust and basic grey. The butterfly is crushed curry and dusty durango.
the ribbon is chocolate chip satin ribbon.
It took quite a while to watercolor the image and I've decided that watercoloring is a form of meditation. you really have to concentrate :-)
i used this week's 411 sketch challenge.

Very peaceful and serene! I used to water colour too - but I took a pigment off watercolour pencils and then applied it to the paper. I agree - slow process! But then - so are copics and gamsol magic! ;) But well worth the effort! Lovely result you have here!
