Things IÂ’m pretty sure about:
1) February 2nd is Groundhog Day.
2) February 2nd is also the birthday of SplitCoastStamperÂ’s Original Bad Girl (aka Anne Ryan).*
* IÂ’m a little bit less certain of the second item simply because you can type whatever date you want (or no date at all) in the little box that asks for your date of birth when you set up your profile. AnneÂ’s says her birth date is February 2nd. WeÂ’ll go with that.
Things IÂ’m not as sure about:
1) How a groundhog can really tell when winter will end.
2) How many previous birthdays said “Bad Girl” has witnessed. (Perhaps the “Shadow” knows.
3) Who the wonderfully sweet lady in this particular “photo” might be – but that blingy ring on her hand reminds me of some ‘photos’ Debzi333 and Pam124 had in their galleries a while back. And I'll bet that gardening was an activity at the clinic where the "bad girl" spent a little time last year. Just sayin’… Anyway, it "could be" said Birthday Girl. As I said, I’m not sure…
Now, if one wants to get technical, the little fella in this image is more likely a gopher than a groundhog. If you really want to know the difference between gophers and groundhogs, go Google it. There are plenty of links to follow on this topic. Really! There are! But, if you want this little guy to be a groundhog since February 2nd belongs to the Groundhog, then it’s a groundhog. But for the other 364 days of the year (365 in Leap Year), he can be a gopher. So the sentiment (computer generated) will work most days. The inside sentiment reads: “…sometimes the gopher gets you.” “Happy Birthday!”
So whatever and whomever these images depict, this little card is in honour of Groundhog Day and dear, sweet, lovable, SCS commenter extraordinaire, “Original Bad Girl” Anne Ryan’s birthday.
Hope the Groundhog says winter will end soon.
Hope Anne has a wonderful birthday.
(About the card:
Digital Image is from Diamonds Rubber Stamps Graphics Collection #1 CD purchased on eBay. Printed on watercolour paper. Coloured with SU Watercolour Crayons. I have little talent when it comes to colouring so just did my best to stay in the lines. SU punches, Heidi Swapp bling for ring.)

At least she's saying "my friend" as she shovels the dirt on the hole I've dug myself into...

OMGosh, what a hoot you are and so is this card. Once I got over the total shock of seeing a mirror image of myself, I was able to realize you've created probably the sweetest of all cards. How sweet, so very sweet of you, to craft a card acknowledging my 33rd birthday. Seeing myself in such a position makes me realized that there might be something to my new years resolution to knock off the nightly ice cream.
You have just warmed my heart, sweet girl, with this card.
Thank you so much.

Actually Anne, what I just warmed was a piece of apple pie to which I added a scoop of ice cream. Figured what works for you, works for me. ;-)
