Well, since I always seem to be rush, rush, rushing to get my cards done in December once the Post Office deadline has passed me by, I signed up for the CCC10 Christmas Card Challenge here on SCS.
I did indeed have my January batch of cards completed before midnight last night - I signed up to make 8 per month and actually made 9.
I changed it to a rectangular card, used an embossing strip instead of a border punch, punched flowers instead of primas, changed the sentiment and moved the fold from the top to the left side.
I needed my cards to be pretty flat and fairly lightweight for mailing purposes. Felt good to have a bit of a head start... Hope I can keep it up!

Both cards are lovely. I think I need that embossing folder!

Way to go on sticking with your quota for January!! These cards are lovely--the embossed panel looks so elegant. Great colors and sketch, too. Such pretty teensy, tiny pearls!

Wait a minute, wait just a minute here. Wasnt it you that was just talking about Groundhog's day and now you're back with 9 christmas cards? hmmmm, that dirt must have really done you in is what I'm thinking. I hope you can keep up with the challenge schedule too, so I'll be able to receive one of these gorgeous cards next year ... that is if we're still speaking! This is really a pretty, pretty card in that red and white. Your cb panel adds so much to the overall statement this glam card suggest.

Love that holly leaf adn the extra embossing under it. Love the crisp, clean feel the red and white gives and the flowers at the ends of the sentiment script are perfect. Way to sign up for the Christmas card challenge too! You will be smiling when everyone else is sweating it out making them LOL!

Ooooh Heather, this is SO PRETTY. I hope you don't mind if I kind of case your card because I, too, am planning way ahead this year so I don't get stuck like I did this past year. I started in July, but it was still tough. I'm definitely going to have to duplicate more this year. I LOVE this layout and color combo and that ef, which I have. I made a deal that I have to make 5 cards per month. I ended up making 6 of the last one I did which I haven't uploaded yet. Didn't want to send Anne over the edge too quickly after the holidays and I'm trying to destroy her with my Valentine's cards first!! LOL!! I really, really LOVE this Heather and I will be EXPECTING a Christmas card from you in Dec. 2010!! LOL!! Just kidding!! TFS! I see I've moved up a little notch from Fruitcake to Fruitflake - LOL!
