It's so exciting to stamp for fun again! Now that all of my Christmas projects are done, I get to play with my new stamps!!!
The background of this card was made with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes Embossing Folder. Then I matted some DP on black paper and added a half circle that was embossed with the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder and attached a sheer white ribbon over it. To make the main image, I cut 2 scalloped circles out with my Nestabilities of graduated sizes and embossed the edges. Then I stamped my image in black on the white circle while it was still in the die. I also stamped it on a scrap piece of paper and cut it out without the arms to make a mask. Then I covered the image with the mask and left it in the die and lightly went over it with yellow chalk. Then to give the image more pop, I used my glue pen to add orange glitter on the scarf. Lastly, I created some snow dots around Charlie and went over the snow by his feet with the glue pen and white flocking.
The sketch was borrowed from an old sketch challenge by MOJO Monday. The colors are for the Flourishes Challenge to use Black, Yellow, and a color of your choice. This is also for Penny's Challenges to use Chalks. This is also for the Daredevils makeup inspiration challenge that had a chinese flair. Since black and yellow represent the chinese year of the tiger, I thought it fit into that inspiration.
Thanks for looking!
