For today's MMSC35, http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/, I chose to do a digital image from McMahon Five Designs http://www.mcmahonfivedesign.com/. Sue McMahon has a wonderful online store you should visit. I paper pieced the snowman, hat, scarf, and dress. Watercolored the rest and added stickes and liquid applique.
I think a few people are going to get a laugh from this one. My sister gave me a Janome Sew-Mini for
Christmas. I set it up last night and about 10:30 decided to stitch my first card. CROOKED. I need more practice before I do that so I just used faux stitching. UGh! The other one will be Pam124 because she has been waiting to see my first stitched card. I'm sure I'll hear from my friend on this one.
Take a visit to Priscillastyles blogspot. There are wonderful sketches each week and good prizes and awards to be won.

Oh Benz, I absolutely LOVE your card!!! What an incredible job you've done on the MM challenge!! I LOVE that digi image and you've paper pieced, colored and sparkled it just perfectly!! Now, let's talk about the stitching, or should I say, FAUX STITCHING!!! That's what you get for bragging about your "new mini sewing machine" from your sister, Sprinkz, after you sent me the "fake sewing machine"!! Ah, Ha, I see Priscillia is onto you now and is EXPECTING some REAL SEWING MACHINE creations from you. You're on the spot now my lil faux friend!!! LOL!!! I must say that the faux stitching you did was so good that I thought you did, in fact, use a real sewing machine. Had you not told on yourself, I would have believed it was "real"!! The Fruitcake is so gullible!! However, once I put it though my "Is It Real Sewing Or Faux Sewing Software", I would have known immediately it was fake, I mean "faux"!! Too funny Benz. You're da best and this is an awesome card for the challenge. I still have to get to mine. Uuuggghhh!!!

P.S. Love your use of the fun fibre too. I have tons of fibre I rarely use. I need to get that stuff back out as it would be great for this sketch especially!!!

O.K. Pam, I am quite sure you are lurking to see how I respond to your comment. Oh gullible one, I can't get away with anything between you and Debzi and that goofy software. I knew I couldn't say my sititching was real because I would be caught immediately. I guess your 'lil faux friend' will just have to start practicing day and night until I have perfected that sewing machine stitch. (I never was a seamstress...surprised I got the thing threaded and a bobbin in) LOL I guess I'll have to join you in looking for a 'Sewing for Dummies' book. Just the same, thanks for the nice comments.

I have total faith in you my lil faux friend - pretty soon, you'll be whipping all your cards out what that "fancy stitching" and feeling that all us "non-stitchers" are inferior to your superior talent!!! LOL!!! That's okay, I've been left behind before, so I'll get used to it. Ooooh, I'm sorry, I had to stop for a moment due to the massive crying spell I had at being left behind with all the "non-stitchers"!!! It was nice knowing you my lil friend!!!! Would you at least be kind enough to leave me the lil sewing machine in your Will so one day I can be just like you; that is, as long as I outlive you anyway!!! LOL!!!

Sorry to bother you again my oh so important soon to be stitching former friend!!! But, you said you had choir practice tonight and I just wanted to let you know I'll have to quit my choir 'cause I'm jus' too busy singing da "blues" now days over this sewing machine mess. You've ruined The Fruitcake's Life!!! LOL!!!
