This card is for Jenny's Costumes Throughout History challenge: based your card on costumes/dress from a certain period in history and add sparkle. I chose the quintessential 1950s red polka dot swing dress and added a little "rockabilly" with the funky winged heart from Unity. I colored the heart with red & grey copics. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it is full of sparkle--I outlined the heart with red stickles and the wings with gunmetal and frosted lace stickles. And each dot in the heart & wings got some star dust pen.
I stamped & embossed the sentiment in white onto PTI bitty dot paper, and used the threading water punch on the bottom to mimic the fun ruffles on the skirt.

Cute idea! I never would have thought we could use an era this close in time (I was thinking Elizabethian, etc.). I loved the 50s... well, I wasn't around then, but the music, the styles, the values, the way teachers were respected...
