Charlene, thanks for bringing Dusty the bear to our attention. I am honored to meet such a sweet little bear. At the teaparty here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Dusty and I got to talking. He was so glad that people were thinking of him and showing him love and appreciation. He is so thoughtful. He wanted me to help him thank the men and women who sacrifce for our freedoms. The sentiment printed on the oval is from this Billy Ray Cyrus song:
ALL GAVE SOME
BUT SOME GAVE ALL.
After making flowers out of paper towels yesterday, I thought of trying to make a tear bear out of paper towels. All I made was a mess. I decided to make my tear bear out of brown cardstock. I made my quilled flowers in red white and blue. For the CCEE I got my 4 layers without having to count my bear as a layer. I got the ribbon on his neck. This card is also for the Stampin' Sisters In Christ Challenge#12: http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogsp...john-1513.html
to make a card honoring the men and women in the armed forces.

I thought you might bring a tear bear along - which was a good reason for me not to! I'd never be able to make one as good as this, with his little bow. And I love the sentiment with your quilled roses to accent it, too.

Oh, MariLynn, your bear is SO cute! I don't have a single teddy bear stamp, so thought about trying a tear bear, but didn't know how to do one! Yours is just adorable!

Oh my goodness! You are the Queen of Creativity, MariLynn! I woulda never thunk to make a tear bear, and he is absolutely ADORABLE!!! I mean, really.....look at how extremely happy this adorable guy is. And, his arms are open wide to give Dusty a great big ol' "bear" hug! So very cute! And, of course, I adore your quilled flowers. Great job on all those challenges! I'm favoriting.
Thank you so much for always faithfully attending the tea parties; they wouldn't be the same without you!

Okay....Bertie here....Charlene doesn't know what she's talkin' 'bout. I think this guy is servin' as a goalie and tryin' to protect the other tea partiers from my flingin' of food. Mind you, I ain't flingin' nuttin' at the sweet bears (I promised SnoSnot I wouldn't)....only at the walls today. Them walls sure are gittin' messy, but we's havin' so much fun! Could you assign someone to clean-up duty? Thanks, buddy!

Your teddy looks just like he was made from gingerbread. Hope no one nibbles on his ear. How nice of you to remember the Veterans with your beautiful flowers. Not only are you oh so creative but oh so thoughtful as well.
