It is Tuesday again and we all know what that means! A fabulous new sketch #41 over at ICS. This week we have been sponsored by a company that has some super cute images DigiStamp Boutique. The lucky winner of this week's sketch will get a $15 gift card to Sally-Ann's store. Awesome!
For my card I used Chloe and snowball from DigiStamp Boutique. I colored up this cutie with copics. I put some stardust stickles on the snowballs and snow on the ground to go with all th esparkles that was already in the designer paper which is from My Mind's Eye. I also used a little pink Bazzill to add shimmer to the layers. That pink strip was created with one of the new Martha Stewart punches. For the tag, I used a SU tag punch and stamped it with a snow swirl stamp which I think is from Penny Black. I added Tea Dye Distress ink to the tag and the Kraft cardstock base.
You've probably noticed that I like to pop my characters outside of its box to add a little visual interest. I do this by picking a nestie that fits most of the image on the inside window, but is smaller than the image. I will then take a pencil and trace around the inside window...why the inside window? So that all you have to do is pop that same nestie into your cutter and you have your mat for the image. I still end up trimming my mat about 1/16" because I like a smaller width mat. I then cut around the pencil lines and image with scissors and erase any leftover pencils lines then attach it to my mat. Voila! Thank you so much for stopping by today.
