My card today is for two challenges. I didn't get to play yesterday, had to buy a new answering machine. Then I had to hook it up. Boy, all that concentration really hurts your head. Anyway, I chose this card to case. Changed the trees, ribbon and sentiment, which I moved to the other side.
The CAS challenge is to make a sympathy card. I hate having to make those sad kind of cards. So mine just says So very sorry. Which I was this morning. I was awaken to a sound that at first I thought was a bird squawking. But birds don't usually sqawk at night.
Rosco went out to check out the noise maker, I turned on the back porch light and saw the water ripple in the pool. So I assumed what ever it was, was just getting a drink of water so I went back to sleep.
When I woke up later, I discovered a dead rat on the bottom of the pool. Apparently he had been hurt because he left blood on the pool deck. Yuck. So my card is for that poor rat who drowned in my pool. So very sorry.
Briefly, I took a white cs panel and sponged the hills and sky. Added doodle lines and grass to the hills. Stamped and clear ep'd the sentiment.
On a piece of acetate, I put some out line stickers of trees, colored on the back and front by accident, with copic markers. Layered this over the bg panel, added the ribbon then put it on a white card.......done.
Well hope you like my two challenge card....TFL :0)

What a lovely scene you have created!! Great sponging! I would have freaked out if I had seen a dead rat in our pool! I used to freak out when there were live frogs in there, lol!!! Cute card!

Wow, what a great card. Love the bright colors. I have done the daisey's with the outline stickers and acetate but I never thought of doing trees. Great idea!! I really like your card. (not so much the rat) Thanks for sharing.

Well, I can see when we meet we'll be odds already. If there's anything I hate its rats. Your sorry for one more unnecessary needless nuisance to be dead? Sorry, but I cant seem to share in your sorrow! I'll overlook that and focus on this here card. I love what you've done with your stickers and acetate, but tell me how did you outline the front of the tree acetate? I need to know this~ not that I'll ever be able to do it, but I need to know asap ... just in case. I love the scene you've created too. What a fabulous card this is.

Anne, the tree is an outline sticker. I peeled it off the sheet and put it on the acetate. Very simple. They are from Magenta. Pretty neat don't ya think? :0)
