Here's my card for Monday's clean & simple challenge. Today's challenge was to make a cas sympathy card.
I used the shadow stamping technique on my stamped tree image. I've always wanted to try this technique and I thought this tree image would be just perfect for that.
I first stamped the tree image using Certainly Celery ink and then using my stamp-a-ma-jig I carefully lined up the image again, but this time I moved it slightly to the left using Close to Cocoa ink I stamped my image again.
I did the same thing again with the stamping on my background. I had to be sure when I stamped my background that you wouldn't be able to see the tree trunk part of my image. The stamp-a-ma-jig comes in handy for this technique.
I added some score lines above and below my main image and my ribbon is from Offray!
For more details (I have pictures posted on how to do this technique), please see my blog:
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
