I experimented with some new two-tone acrylic colors recently. They can be used a quick and wonderfully shimmering background. I just brushed them onto white cardstock and overstamped them with Palette Noir ink!
The main image is stamped onto a wooden paint chip.

My compliments, Christianne. You've brought so many wonderful cards to the gallery today. This is fabulous. I have no idea, even after reading your narrative, how you've managed to create such gorgeous cards, but I can certainly appreciate the beauty each projects. I always welcome your cards in the gallery: each one brings such a wonderfully unique dimension and characterization to the gallery.
