This is a paint can I made for Ava's new first grade teaher this morning. There is a paint can, a post it note holder, a card, a notebook, and a teacher survival kit. ;)

This is a great idea. I'd love to make one for my son's first grade teacher. Please add me to the list of those curious of what's in the survival packet.
Thank you.

You used one of my very favorite sets and I love the color combo you chose! But I too am an inquiring mind that wants to know what does the survival kit say??
Your child's teacher will LOVE it!! I would! I need to know about the kit too! TFS!!!

Thanks ladies! I'll post here what the kit says and also PM those who have already asked...I got the idea from JanTink. I only used a few of the ideas she had (but they're all great) It says (and includes):
A battery-to help you keep going and going and going
Crayons-To color your day bright and cheerful
Candle-For when you are up late grading papers
Marbles-For when you lose yours
Gum-To help your class stick together
Snowflakes-When all else fails, pray for a snow day!
Mint-To thank you for your constant encourage'mint'
Seeds-To plant the seeds of knowledge
Eraser-As a reminder that a good education cannot be erased
Tea Bag-To remind you how 'tea'rrific you are
Matches-Because you are the spark of education
