The StampinB challenge #20, hosted by NancyRuth this week, is to make a card using chalk. This is something I rarely do so it really was a challenge for me. I stamped my image and chalked in rose and yellow. I embossed my image with a Nestie but ended up putting ribbon on one side and trimmed the other with a scalloped trimmer. Pierced inside each scallop. You really need to join in this challenge each week. I think you would really enjoy it.

I just used this "rarely used" EF yesterday. It has such a dramatic finish to the card - now, why don't I use them more often? This is soooo pretty. Love the simplicity of the image, your ribbon treatment and that pearl brad - beautiful card!!

Yes, I know what you mean. I rarely use chalks either. But this is so pretty that I'm inspired to dust those chalks off and give them a whirl!

What a GREAT job you did here Brenda. I just LOVE that embossing in the corner, your color combo and you did great with the chalks. I struggle with all coloring elements, but I keep on a tryin'!! Lovin' your pearl brad and ribbons too. Hmmm....I haven't thought of anything sarcastic to say as of late. Guess I'm using it all on MRS. RYANNNN!!!! She's on the war path again, so BEWARE!! TFS Brenda - oh, yes, and so glad they did go ahead and let you back on the site even though you were kicked off . . . It must have been that "good" word I put in for you!! LOL!!!

Hi Brenda! Trying to do some catching up in the galleries after being away much of the summer... Love this beauty - that bit of dry embossing in the corner is wonderful - love the softness of your chalking on the image and the delicate scalloped edge... Great work...
