Hey, hey Anne...you are one lucky girl to be out on the town in the big apple! I'll bet it was a blast. Thanks for the most interesting Pylones site. There were quite a few I could have gone with, but it was the jewelry that caught my eye. And a gurl's gotta have a treasure box to put those jewels in right???
I used one of the fabu stamps I got at my local lss garage sale earlier in the summer. It was $1. I stamped the image (Museum of Modern Rubber) on PTI sweet blush with Memento Ink. The tiny dancer was stamped twice...once to paper piece her tutu (Eva paper from Basic Grey) and the other time to be able to place the image in front of the mirror which I crafted from mirror paper. The hardware on the box is colored with a Copic marker Y28. I added a small copper brad. My background paper (Making Memories Sabrina paper)is overstamped with Purple Onion's vintage damask stamp. I added the sheer pink ribbon with hearts on the edge.
Now instead of fancy rings and such in my jewelry box, I placed affirmations to encourage creativity. Let me know what you think! Thanks and have a blissful weekend.
Have you checkd out my blog. You'll find me at home there!

Love this! It makes me think about how we should look more to the inside beauty than worry about all the fancy trinkets...but a 'gurl' has to have trinkets too so she can feel pretty!! Great job on the IC!

WaHoo, the girl's back! Oh happy day for all of us. susan is here! Ms Susan, what a card of grand proportions this is today, my dear friend! I totally love that image. Admittedly I have never seen such a jewelry box! I would have to think this will strike a happy memory for many of us. Didnt most of us have a pink jewelry box similar to this one in years gone by? Yes, I did and it was a pink ballerina, too. I love your card today Susan, and I love seeing you in the IC gallery too!

This is a fantastic card! I love what you did with the jewelry box stamp...the mirrored back, the popped up ballerina, brad closure and the "jewels" inside! Perfect!
