Isn't this embossed CD tin adorable! Donna designed and taught us how to make these at last night's monthly group meeting. The belly-band slides on and off; you could put CDs, note cards, magnets, or whatnots inside for gifting. I LOVE how the embossing makes the tin appear as if it was actually dry-embossed.
To emboss the tin: Clean the surface with Windex; follow up with Embossing Buddy. Stamp using Versamark ink, apply silver EP, then heat. Some additional 'tourist notes': 1) if using a background stamp, ink it up and set it down with rubber facing up then open the tin and apply the lid's top surface to the rubber, rubbing the interior surface of the lid to assure full contact with the inked rubber; 2) if using individual stamps, you will want the underside of the lid braced or supported in a way that it cannot 'flex' or bow while stamping; to accomplish that, open the tin with the bottom-half off to the side, place blocks, small book, or whatever beneath the lid (in contact with the lid's interior surface); 3) Use a small brush to remove stray flecks of EP before heating. Other notes: all CS pieces were sponged. Thanks Donna for such a cool project!
