We're off to meet up with Uncle Beeford Bumble in Mississippi for today's tea party. Busy Bee and I found this poem and would like to dedicate it to Uncle Beeford:
There was a man who loved the bees,
He always was their friend;
He sat around upon their hives,
But they stung him in the end!
Hope Uncle Beeford's bottom side is OK by the time we get to the party!! By the way, how'd he get those "boys" out of the hive anyway? Aren't they supposed to stay in the hive and tend to the queen while the girls go out and do ALL the work? I think the girls need a break (or brake), so they're the ones who need to join us at the tea party!!
Thanks for taking a peek!
ETA: I just found out there's a thread here on SCS for these challenges now!

Your right about the worker bees being girls, and I am sure they could do with a break. Especially a tea-party break .
This must be one of the more realistic ones with the right amount of arms/legs, or whatever they should be called. But at least she's still a cutie and not a wild or realistic bee.

This is such a thoughtful bee to think about the over worked bee's needing a break... She just needs to be careful about the bee workers union. They might see it as unfair to single out the girl bees. A bee riot would be worse than the killer bees. I love the embossed base of your card. The black really frames this little bee.

Do bees have brakes? Errrrrrrrrrt! Well I guess they do!
So that's the reason Uncle Beeford Bumble's bees hit the road and he was left with *The Boys*! I think we have been had! If I thought I was responsible for bringing a bunch of female bees to Mississippi and their lives would be less than desirable, I don't know if I could live with myself!
Well, since we are all here...lets see how things transpire. Worst case scenario we can tie old Uncle Beeford to the hive (good idear!) and hold his butt for ransome and better working conditions!
Your card is priceless with the fun bee and great sentiment! Love it! And the poem? The highlight of the party....that and Bertie's funny song! Hee!

I think your bee should be president of the Bee Union, and work out the details with Uncle Beeford on fair working conditions and wages. It's all fun and games until someone gets stung in the keester!

I hear if you put a penny on a bee sting, it takes the sting right away. Wouldn't ole' Uncle Beeford look funny with pennies stuck on his butt! hehehe Love your sign carrying bee here, just darling. Such a cute card. Love it. TFS :0)
