This page was done for the Dirty Dozen "Sewing" challenge.
I have wanted to use the Jumbo Outline and sew along the edges of the letters to create a title forever. The challenge reminded me that I still hadn't put idea to paper! I also used some big numbers from the Simon chipboard set to trace the date on the page and sew it with needlework floss as well. (I am also a stitcher on the side and I have a lot of floss leftovers when I am done with kits, so those are perfect to add bows or sewing on my pages.)
The cardstock, paper, flowers and striped band all come from the retired Pina Colada SS kit.
In the background, I stamped the Medallion bg stamp on Riding Hood Red cardstock, cut it out with the Circle Scissors Plus and added it behind the date before I began stitching.
This was all hand-stitched and I was surprised at how time-consuming it turned out to be! (Over an hour for title and date). Totally worth it, though!
