This is for FS127 and our sweet girl, Kelly (shirmcat) is our featured artist today. I had lots of fun going through Kelly's gallery and searching for a card to case. Apple Basket by schirmcat at Splitcoaststampers This is the one that inspired me.
I love rustic and country images and Kelly's basket of apples and buttons is so sweet. I kept pretty close to Kelly's layout and used the same theme but changed the colors and image. I wanted to create a simple project letting the bucket of apples from Give Thanks to be the main focal point. I thought the distressed edges were perfect and that the image layer needed no back layer. The gingham with the buttons seemed to be the perfect finishing touch over the grosgrain ribbon. Checkout my blog for the steps used in painting my apples.

Kittie, this is gorgeous. Your coloring is spot on. I mean it doesn't get any better than this. I have never seen this bucket of apples look better. Such rich bold coloring. Awesome card! TFS :0)
