Good thing I don't need a dollar to get in the front door LOL. I had to go to the doctor for an asthma flare yesterday and am just now posting my card. I went light, with light in layers, embellies and I added some more mustard around the edges of the circle and BG for illumination. Great tea pot Cindy - your night light. I have a tea cup night light and love it.
Yes, I know you are all thinking I must be crazy to have hand stitched this, but after I went to the doctor, I took my medicine and chilled on the sofa. So I made a card that I could do while resting. So I stamped Kim's peony in VersaMark and paper pierced then stitched in one color. A light color.

Did I read that right, you HAND stitched that flower? Yowzers. It would be all knots if I attempted that one. I can sew, with a machine, but by hand....NOT! lol Way cool card for the teapot party Lisa. Hope you are feeling better today and tomorrow and forever! Stay healthy my friend. We need more cards from you! This is divine! TFS :0)

I would say you are a very patient person to have stitched this flower. It fits into the challenge so well. Imagine after the bad day yesterday you are ready for some tea and chocolate.

OMG Lisa! Its so beautiful! We are all looking at it thinking thats alot of work but I know what you mean! As you relaxed with your medicine kicking in, I can see how it would be calming to sit and stitch. I hope you are feeling better! Darn Asthma!
I love the soft colors you used and how the sponging around the circle makes it glow! You did a beautiful job while not feeling well. I am glad the girls are keeping it down for your benefit. They really are quite nice people!!
Thanks for coming! I got excited to see you leave a comment on my card because I knew it meant you had made one! Hang in there.....get better! Hugs!

Very pretty, Lisa. That is alot of stitching, but I definately see how it would be relaxing to do... I used to cross stitch alot years ago. At least with this flower, you don't have to count your stitches!! I love all the light colors you used and the shading around your circle. Lucky you were able to make it to the teaparty!

Oh - my mother used to suffer from asthma, you have my sympathy. I don't think you're mad at all to have hand-stitched it, great way of relaxing and resting at the same time - and ending up with a beautiful card at the end of it, too. Very pretty.

Okay, you are uber scary way talented. Hand stitched flower? Yikes.
Sorry about your asthma flare. I had it wicked awful as a child and, gratefully, have been spared as an adult. Hope you are feeling much, much better now. It's pretty much the pits when you cannot breathe.
Your creation is stunning, to say the least. Fantabulous stitching and details!

Lisa, I have to tell you I'm a sewer of too many years, but I would never ever have attempted this! I applaud your ability to create something magnificent number 1 while laying down and secondly, after having gone through a flar up with your asthma. You're quite the woman!
