This is my submission for today's color challenge using ruby red and baja breeze. I needed to sub blue bayou, hope that is ok!
This is also for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday Challenge 51 found here: www.mothermark.blogspot.com
Cindy is having sumo wrestling based on this week's teapot, and I haven't even taken a peek to see what activity is happening in there today...
But I decided to bring a bit of refinement to the "party" today with this pretty and feminine kimono. You can visit my blog for the link to the tutorial...
I'd like to thank my wonderful friend, Linda Borneman for her gallery inspiration that lead me to do this card today: CDS SNEAK PEEK! Asian Plants Kimono Bookmark & Holder by Hearth_Cricket at Splitcoaststampers
The center of this card has a removable bookmark!
Thanks for the challenges today, girls! It's been fun!

This is just so pretty. I love that it's a card and a gift. The party needs some refinement - what with sushi being thrown around and saki in the tea. Good grief!

I love what these challenges bring to the tea party. THis is awesome Traci. I love it. I have Linda's saved in my favorites. I am so glad to see that we have a refined and mature party goer here. Charlene and Cindy are slinging sushi. It is dangerous. You may want to cover this beauty up before you enter...
Great job girlie... I love this.

That most certainly is a very pretty kimono. I am getting a yen to read my old book about two Japansese dolls with all the Asian influence going on today. Very pretty sash too.

Hi Traci! It's so good to see you, buddy! Don't be skeered. Come on in. Just watch your step. There's alotta sushi all over the place and a few of the girls have had a tad too much sake. The smell? Well, Hiroyuki has been sumo wrestlin' all day and he really needs a shower at this point. Just stay away from the circle and you should be alright.
Anywhooo, looks like you get to enter through the front door and on out to the terrace with all the other elegant and classy ladies because this sure is one refined and beautiful kimono! I'll have to check out Linda's tutorial. I'm a little challenged when it comes to foldin' things the right way. Just ask Barb. LOL!
