I don't think anyone could top Cindy's sumo wrestler card. So I didn't even try to make one. I did take the Japanese theme and colors from the teapot. I tried to dye my white paper with blue ink to make it look like the white and blue on the teapot. I took the peach color and made my cherry blossoms. I made a refined little Japanese girl instead of a wrestler.
Auditor showed up today. My dh got mixed up on the dates. So I am posting this card on the sly. I got up really early to see if Cindy had posted the teapot. I did manage to get my card done before Mr. Auditor came. I will be back later to comment.
Everyone is welcome to come to the party. Just a warning it might get a little wild today. What am I saying. Might...???? Well just show up and see what happens.

Hey Ms. McGiver! Hi! Happy to see you! Okay, since I have been waiting for you all to arrive on the terrace, this is what I have learned:
WHATEVER you do, DON'T step foot in the big circle right there. See that big circle? Cuz if you do, that big fat quy in the diaper will push you out, almost as soon as you step in and some times its sorta violent! He might be our host today but his has an attitude as big as his belly! Shhh! Here he comes!
Ooh, Ooh, Ooh!!! I have an idear! Go back! Get the auditor and bring him back with you! We will push him in the circle and tell the big fat guy in a diaper that he is the American Sumo Wrestler in a suit and tie Champion! Me thinks that will motivate him to annihilate his opponent and possibly even squash him! No more auditor! Yeah, lets do that!!!
Okay, talk about creative! Your card is so wonderful. I betcha you will wanna send this to your brother-in-law and sis for some occassion! Its is so creative and fun! I love what you did with the blue on the paper and the awesome cherry blossoms. Its a classy and creative card in a not so classy and creative environment! I love it! I also love that you snuck one in on the auditor!! Snort! Thanks for coming!

Well, now for class this is it MariLynn. I love the idea of pushing the auditor in the circle. My list of people I'd push in there is too long bring. LOL
Back to your refined Japanese gall, yeah she is it, and the flowers are superb, you got it going on. Wow. Sumo wrestling, I would try it if I could wear a good pair of pants and a top, please!

I'm glad you're auditor finally showed up - hope he was as nice as the one we had when I worked in the art supplies. Is that what was distracting you so that you didn't make as close a copy of the original card as you usually do? Never mind, I love your little Japanese girl with her cherry blossoms and lovely blue sky. What a lovely kimono she is wearing.

Watch out, MariLynn! Whew! Good thing you bent over cuz there was a piece of sushi flyin' toward that back of yer head! I think Schirmcat is tryin' to sneak in the back door with her rotten sushi. Woooo-wheeee, that stuff stinks!
So glad to see you here at the tea party with your lovely and elegant Japanese woman. Such creativity you have; beautiful card.
Be sure to keep her away from that big fat guy in the circle, though. He'll smoosh her like a bug his butt's so big. Hee!
Michio is pouring the sak....er.....tea today. Would you like a spot????

Wonderful interpretation, MariLynn. So delicate. The tie dyed piece looks like the moon is shining through. I side with Cindy and say bring the auditor along. I have never seen an auditor sumo wrestler.

Your poor innocent auditor. Does he even know he's being thrown into the sumo circle? I bet he'd be some flattered if he knew he was the talk of the tea party.
I love your little Japanese lady in her kimono. Too bad she's going to get covered in sushi. Beautiful cherry blossoms. You are just so creative!
I have to work all day so I hope I can make it later.
