Happy Saturday!
What a wonderful site to choose our Inspiration Challenge pieces! Stef always comes up w/ some amazing inspiration sites. I spent quite a bit of time surfing their site and I finally decided on the Zoe room. I really liked the colors. Though it's described as pink & brown, I saw more gray than brown so that's the color I used to contrast w/ the pinks.
And as you might have guessed from the title, I used some brand new Hibiscus images from Innovative Stamp Creations ! These are due to be released on Monday June 8.
Since I didn't have enough of the lt pink color I wanted, I sponged on Memories Baby Pink ink onto white c/s until the color was very close to what I wanted. Then I stamped a smaller hibiscus (there are 3 sizes in this set!) w/ Pixie Dust chalk ink. I used the tiniest amount of bleach (almost a dry brush, be sure to use synthetic or the bleach will eat your bristles) to highlight the petals. Then I edged it w/ a pink marker.
The big hibiscus was stamped several times on white w/ the dk gray ink and water colored w/ markers. I arranged them and used a few cut out petals attached on top for dimension. The dew drops were carefully positioned, stamped, then I used a clear glaze pen on them. In the end, I finally added some stickles to them.
I used a Nestie long rectangle on the daisy dp and attached it to the dk pink then the gray. The sentiment was stamped on a dk pink band then I went over it w/ a gray Glaze pen. The faux brads are two sizes of hole punches.
Thanks so much for looking!
