For today's inspiration challenge, I used this magazine (that counts as a book, right?) cover as my inspiration.
I pounded flowers using my Wizard. It's much quieter and gives excellent results. If you would like to know how to do it, head on over to my blog , or to the Spellbinders blog for instructions and to see more.
The petals you see around the card are what I used for my print.
The print is cut/embossed with Spellbinders Labels One die and matted. How did I do that? After embossing the print panel, I cut off the tiny bit of the embossed frame with scissors. I cut and embossed the black mat using the same size die and used that as the first mat. I then cut the green mat with the next larger size and mounted them onto that. I applied the ribbons on the main card front with the ends meeting under the flower panel. The border was created by cutting off 1-1/8" of the card front and adhering the beautiful edge made using the Classic Lace Border Grand die. The sentiment is stamped and then cut/embossed with the double ended tag die. Add some pearls and a bow and voila.
