I am back from my visit with my son (out in sunny California) and I've rested up from the Red Eye Special so I'm glad to be back to the stamping challenges! Today's card for the Inspiration Challenge was inspired by this book cover:
When I saw this cover, I immediately thought of the Illuminations set. The stamp image was inked with White Craft ink and stamped onto Whisper White CS, I embossed with Heat and Stick EP and then sprinkled various colors of Ultra Fine Glitter (from my massive, but seldom used collection) over the image. After heating the image again to set the glitter, I cut a slightly larger piece of WW CS and edged it with SNAIL adhesive and adhered the image piece to this layer. Then I added aqua marine glitter to the edge where the snail adhesive still showed. I dry embossed another layer of WW CS using the Priceless Brass Stencil and mounted the Cherish piece in the center of this and then layered it all onto a folded A2 card. Edit: I took a photo of the card, since the scan was a bit blurry. It still doesn't show the dry embossing as well as I'd like, but the main image is clearer.
