I seem to be on a run of multiple challenge cards - it just seems to happen that way...this card is LATE for this weeks Twisted Sister Challenge...we were to use faux wood...I could lie and tell you I made this wood DP BUT I didn't (o oh - cheated!) I actually used it before I had read the details properly...sorry girls....we were also to use red and one other colour....I used black as my other colour, although technically it is a neutral!
It is also my last card for this weeks Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, check it out if you haven't already....it is the last week for their amazing BLOG CANDY and they have more surprises next week: http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/
It is also for The Ways to Use it Challenge where we are to use BEAUTIFUL BUTTONS - I just squeezed into that one...I have used one button, I actually lost the buckle I had picked out for it....probably been stolen by my cockatiel, who is into everything! Lastly it is for the Flourishes Challenge where we are to use sponging...AND the Bible Verses Challenge....I love to use scripture on cards where I can!
How cute is that little HM - it was sent to me in a RAK from one of my Twisted Sisters, Helen (aka misshelenstamps) He is just adorable and how often do you see a mouse sitting still....LOL....they scurry everywhere....so it was the perfect image to use with this scripture, which was sent to me by another SCS friend Lynda (aka Astrogirl04) That HM is really symbolic of how we should be - we rush sround trying to take care of everything, when at times we would be far better...being still...letting God!
I have sponged and paper pierced, added brads, ribbon and a button, layered the HM onto a square on 3D foam dots...and there you have it....there is more chatter on my BLOG" http://lovelylindascraftcentral.blogspot.com/
Thank you for looking and for your comments, you are also so encouraging.....I appreciate it!!

Linda, this is one of my favorite verses of all time, and I have heard God whisper this to me when He knew I needed it. The image you used is so perfect, a resting lil critter. So sweet. Thanks so much for sharing this adorable card. LYMI

What a perfect match, this image and this sentiment. Linda you just did absolutely superb meeting all the challenges. I know what you mean about cheating accidentally, I did the same on my project. I didn't understand about the faux wood. Ooops. I guess they'll have to send the WWW man to hunt me down. OH NO!!! I love the paper piercing you used to accent the different panels. I have to agree though, the faux wood DP is really beautiful. Love that button accent. I have a box of buttons from generations of sewers and it is hard for me to use them as a lot of them remind me of the person I got it from.
