Oh my I created 2 cards in one day!! A definite record for me! I think the pressure of having Mother's Day cards ready for the ladies in my life is making me work overtime. I just finished creating this card for my sister. I'm trying to get some sketch challenge experience under my belt before a fellow card artist (priscillastyles) begins her Midnight Madness Sketch Challenges on her blog on Tuesday 5/12. So I followed the sketch on the Our Creative Corner challenge to create this card. I have to admit it's very difficult for me to follow a sketch but I'm hoping I'll get better at them with time I realized after putting together the first parts that once I would place an oval on top it would cover most of the words I had stamped on the horizontal cs (especially the word sister which is the whole point of the card, ugh). So I decided to use vellum for the oval so that you can still see the words. I'm not sure I like it but I'm exhausted and just can't think anymore tonight so I'm off to veg out for the rest of the night. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Very elegant! A piece of artwork...into my favs, definitely. I love your choice of papers and colors, the scalloped corners, and your vellum scalloped circle layer.
