Judy's challenge and she said: "For this challenge we are making projects that reflect and represent any May celebration or holiday."
May 14th is National Dance Like a Chicken Day so I now have a new reason to use my chicken images!
Fun challenge!
-Prismacolor pencils for coloring; baby oil in place of Gamsol.
-The chicken was masked with a sticky note to add the scenery.
-Paper piecing for the body.
-Faux stitching on the read and white.
-Ink distressing on the Kraft and red layers.
-I used the out of the box technique for the image. This works great if you have a guillotine style cutter by marking the image on the back while holding to a light source. Cut to the image on the front, flip it over and cut to the mark on the back. To cut between the image lines I use a Coluzzle template with their craft knife.

Well, that chicken looks like she is ready for a night on the town which would include dancing! Actually I should say that rooster looks like he is ready for a night on the town but then we couldn't celebrate Dance Like a Chicken day. So, a chicken it is. Gotta love that "dress."
