This is my somewhat "unconvential" mother's day card for my mom and it celebrates national egg month.. who knew?! She was raised in rural Oklahoma (very, very, out-in -the-sticks rural) where there were always chickens running around. So, since I've never (get ready for this) used this image before! ((shock)). I got it when it was retiring and never put ink to it! So... now that I've had a Copic class I'm going through all my sets to find something (anything) that can be colored. I thought she'd get a kick out of it.
The egg was the most fun part. I used a copic to color the egg in then used the colorless blender pen to dot the egg by letting the tip rest on the ink until it made it "push back" and create a white spot. Very cool, I tell ya! The rest was a breeze, I think the gray ink worked pretty well with the craft paper to mirror the egg color and give it a "country" feel. I got to use some of my hoarded HHardware too. The inside of the card just HAD to have the little chick!

Darling card! I love how you've colored it, and thanks for reminding me about my own hardware stash! I'd better dig some out and use it! (I like how you've used yours here...)
