I had to be a smart aleck. I've wanted to do this since Miss Boo had the one button challenge. There is only ONE real button on this card! LOL!!
I've loved this sentiment since my counted cross stitch days. The buttons symbolize this saying for me. How many countless buttons do moms sew on--doing small things with great love!
DH's calligraphy club put out a call for Mother's Day cards for the women's shelter. I wanted to make several, so I reached into my unfinished card tops that I put together from scraps last summer. They were backgrounds waiting for images and finishing touches. I didn't go all out since I need to make so many in a hurry, but thought they turned out nicely. It actually took more time to upload than it did to finish these cards. Plus, I got my scraps used up last summer so it's thrifty and green too! Even so, Mom would be proud! She's the one that taught me be thrifty and to make do with what I had. I was a little nervous using my button die on the aluminum, but it worked okay. I wouldn't do it all the time, though.

What a CUTE card! I love all the strips of dp! I really think
the aluminum buttons are great! I would think it would be a good way to keep the die sharp.
