We were to use any type of foil for the challenge today.
I had about half a sheet of copper foil that someone gave me about 3 years ago.
I've used it before for dry embossing, but not since I got the Wizard.
Bit of a learning curve - there are some shapes on my desk for later use. And the first butterfly - after I'd punched it and then embossed it, if I bent the wings at all they started breaking off along the embossed lines.
Third time around I stuck the punched butterfly onto a small sticky label (should have stuck the label first and then punched, but I wasn't going to start again), and then embossed. Cut out around it, and then to hide the white label, rubbed the edges and back with an Encore Bronze pad and embossed it. I got the result I was hoping for, which was that the heat from the heat-gun added a bit of zing to the foil.
After that, very CAS and very not me.
I used a 5 3/4" white base.
I cut some handmade stitched green paper with a Labels 1 , and used the next size up as a guide for a pierced frame. I used a pin in each *corner* to stop it from moving round too much. Added some old buttons tied with hemp, et me voici.
Nothing like I planned when I saw the challenge...but that's life.
