I loved Glenda's SCS Gallery from the first time I saw her cards, she brought that SU Bear to life...and had my attention from then!! to discover that Glenda paints as well....no surprise really....but a delight for the eyes!!! Thank you Anne for bringing this Gallery to our attention...
I knew I couldn't go past it, especially as I had been sent this gorgeous image in a RAK from Peggy (aka Marilyn Prestonn) and friends - I am thnking perhaps Pat Smethers!!! I just love it and couldn't get started quick enough on the IC!!! This card is also for the Flourishes Challenge, which required us to use embossing this week - it got me on a run of it...the CB is so addictive!
I layed 'Divine Swirls' embossed CS in three colours, ripping it and then sponging to give the appearance of waves, with the white being the caps as they get close to the shore. I found the most amazing technique for clouds....okay I can't lie - I used DP....I love this particular one...fitted so well here. I chalked the image lightly and sponged the edges to blend it with the background.
I have the perfect sentiment to go with it and will use it on the inside, as I feel to add anything else would ruin it...the sentiment is one that Lesley (aka Marleygo) sent me and it says "Sometimes the LORD calms the storm, other times HE calms the child and lets the storm rage.' This has special meaning to me ever since I became a Christian and I couldn't believe it when I saw a card with it on in Lesley's gallery - I think I am going to have to invest in this stamp!
Thank you for looking, I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed making it...thank you Glenda for the inspiration!!! Thank YOU for your comments - I always enjoy them!!

Hi Linda, Lovely card! Love the torn divine swirl waves! Would love to be this girl standing in the water as we have had a return of winter with some cold and snow this weekend.

Lovely Linda, you really do make lovely cards. I love your sky, you made it blend in so perfectly, your water techinique is great and your coloring is just beautiful. I also love the inside sentiment. So perfect.

Linda, this is beautiful! I love how you used the cb swirls for the waves. I wish I had thought of that! I used this same stamp for my IC card. I love your clouds! The sentiment is a perfect choice for this card! God is Great isn't he!
