Thanks Beth for your selection of Karen as FS105 today. She is a new to me, SCS'er, but I have to say after perusing her gallery, I love her use of texture and fiber. I decided to case this card. I loved the colors and the layout. What I changed was the size of the layout to a 6x6 and dropped the purple. I kept mine monochromatic.
This is also for theHis Holy Names 09 Challenge, the third word, "Protector". I used Ma Vinci's 2x4 Architect font inking VersaFine Olympia Green and embossing with clear. The base of my page is Basic Grey's Mellow 'lenient' cloud paper. I love this paper and wanted it to have an important place in my design. My tag, with scripture I selected, is printed on a transparency in photoshop and adhered to a Hero Arts tag. I used a piece of raw silk trim at the top. Behind the tag is a clock paper that has 'Remember' printed on one of the clock faces. I have the words to the song, "Under His Wings" printed on the reverse, and there is room for journaling directly to the cloud base. And then it is covered by the long panel. The soar ticket is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology. I inked it with chalk inks to fit my color scheme. The key which has LIFE engraved on the head is also by TH. It serves to hold my tags in place. The wings are a combination of Technique Tuesdays 'Skin Deep' and Fancy Pants 'In the Garden'. I stamped on GP white and embossed the top layer with Kaleidoscope ep. The middle layer is inked on SU baja breeze with Adirondack snow cap and embossed with clear ep. The bottom layer is Brilliance moonlight white and embossed with silver pearl. I connected them with a vintage blue glass button. I stamped SHALOM on the wing with Adirondack denim. Last, but not least, the date is in the bottom right corner, Crafty Secrets Calendar inked with Memento Summer Sky.
So, please tell me what you think of my entry into His Holy Names. Have a wonderful Sunday. And Karen, I hope your day as FS is as bright as your gallery!

Susan, I had to smile when I saw this, recognizing the verses from this weeks' study. Your page brought a lovely picture to mind as I was reading these very verses yesterday and pondering pitures of how God protects His children- and here it is! Beautiful job. I love all the symbolism, and the peaceful feeling too. Love your work sis.
