This box has special meaning to me for many reasons. First, it was a gift from my mom. It was full of a variety of CK perfumes. Mom was fabulous at spoiling her girls. She rarely spoiled herself, yet she thought nothing of spending $50 on a jar of my favorite lotion. I miss her. Secondly, the photograph is of my grandmother. She was educated, glamorous, cosmopolitan and most importantly, loving. I'll never forget her smile or the way she got to snorting when she laughed! The same women who posed in her evening wear in the society pages was a snorter!! On a less serious note, this box has lots of Crafty Secrets, Crate Paper and SERIOUS glitter!!
What a great box and story! Like your grandmother I snort but I can't say that I have any of her other wonderful character traits : ) I love the colors, glitz, ribbons and special embellishments! Thanks for sharing your work with us!!

What a wonderful keepsake! I miss my mom too. She wasn't extravagant, but sacrificial and very sentimental. She kept everything! If you haven't already, remember to write your story down and keep it in the box so others will know why it means so much to YOU!
Thank you for sharing!

Outstanding altered creation. I think Elaine's comment above is such a wonderful idea. This is such a wonderful tribute to two fantastic women -- your mom and grandmother! As far as I'm concerned you creation is a winner!!

Oh Carla, your story is so sweet and so sentimental. when I read thoughts like yours, I know you really miss both these wonderfully influential women! I trust both are looking over your shoulder and smiling with delight at your talent and wonderful way to showcase their who they were. Fabulous art, Carla.

Absolutely stunning! I love the layering you did of all the different elements and embellies. Such a wonderful testament to two special ladies - actually 3...your talent as well as their love.

This is wonderful Carla - it would have been wonderful even without the story but that just adds the icing! Beautiful details with the layering and the buttons!
