I made a Christmas card at one of my SU! demo's Make and Take evenings and my friend Michelle made some lovely comments about it. I decided I'd make a different version of the card as Michelle's Christmas card.
My clever demo (Joanne) made the poinsettias using the SU! Five Petal Flower punch. We used 3 flowers for each poinsettia, one Old Olive and two Ruby Red. She showed us how to snip the petals a little deeper in, and then how to add veining using a deet tool. I think the deet tool is a Leonie Em product used for shaping punched flowers. Then she got us to use the ball on the end of an embossing stylus (we made spiral shapes with the ball in the centre of the flowers) to make the petals pop up a little. We then used gold sequins for the poinsettia centres.
Not only is Joanne clever, she is also a real sweetheart. I asked her to punch out some flowers for me so I could make this card for Michelle as I didn't have the flower punch at the time (I do have it now though LOL!) She punched them out and popped them in the post to me immediately, bless her heart!
The sentiment has been cut out using a Nestie Label Trio die.

Well now you have again taught me something new. This is awesome Ruth. I love it. Hello from across the pond by the way. Waving hi. Can you see me? I am definitely going to try this. I hope your new year is going great. I have my pretty pink ribbon on my stamping desk so I can use it for Valentines. Hugs...
