Do you know the movie "An Affair to Remember" with Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant? This was this week's movie for the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge. Please check out: www.cinemasaturdaycreativechallenge.blogspot.com
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie. I had seen it already a few times, but I couldn't remember the title, and I haven't seen it for a long time, and I just asked a few weeks ago my DH if he knew about that movie with the planned meeting on the Empire State Building and the accident - but he didn't know. Now by chance this was the inspiration movie for the challenge - now I know the title and can search for it at some movie stores...
This is my card for the challenge: I chose the skyline of New York for my card, and I thought the sunset mood would catch the movie's bittersweet mood pretty well. I stamped the skyline stamp with Palette Noir ink onto some glossy cardstock, then brushed some highlights on the buildings with Teykol resist medium. Then I sponged the sunset background with different shades of Adirondack inks. I added a heart brad on which I wrote "My Love Affair" like a kind of balloon on the building resembling the Empire State Building and drew a line to the building with a white jelly pen. The image is mounted onto some black cardstock, then onto a dark blue cuttlebug-embossed card.
What do you think?

I think this card is GREAT!!! I like the big bold city scape, and of course the teykol touches. The background colors are so pretty, and I love your heart you added in. A fabulous card to start the new year with!!!
