This isn't anywhere close to a holiday type card, not that it was supposed to be, but I was thinking of any and all who might be traveling at this time and I wanted to remind you to BE SAFE!
That all said.....I cut work short today due to the rain and the fact that I just didn't want to be out there. I was so glad that Roxie posted the challenge early, THANKS! So I started this card late last night. I wanted to try coloring with copics after I viewed a short tutorial by Kiyomi Krafts found here: http://www.kiyomikrafts.com/kiyomi/2...opics-101.html Check it out, pretty cool. Now on to what I did here......
I stamped and clear eb my little Claudette Camel, masking as I went. Since I only have a few copics, I was limited in my choice of colors. But I just had to give it a try. After coloring I versa marked the whole image and clear eb it. Then I masked off the top of the panel and sponged the ground using two different colors. Then I masked off the bottom and sponged the sky. I used my stylus and white acrylic paint for the star dots and my pen for the doodles.
Cut out another panel of white cs, distressed the edges with a distress tool, then sponged the edges black.
I thought a map would be an appropriate bg for my traveling trio here so I googled old world maps and wal-la! Printed one out, cut it down to size and ran my distress ink pad over top. Then I distressed the edges and sponged them.
Put all my panels on a white card that I sponged the edges red pepper and doodled them. So.....what do you think? Let me know, I so love hearing from you!!!....TFL :0)
