In need of another sympathy card this week I reached for a beloved favorite stamp set, Art of Life. It's an oldie, but I may never let it go. It is ideal for elegant cards I think. The sentiment is also ancient, from All Year Cheer. The only current stamp I used is the Floral background, which I believe is now retiring in January as well. :(
The left edge of the basic gray paper is torn and the entire thing is sponged to soften the entire look and feel. The flower and sentiment are both embossed in silver. The right edge of the card is a strip of brushed silver cardstock and the ribbon is basic gray taffeta.
There is one item on here that makes it not-SUO, that is the little glass dew drop thingys. I'm not sure what brand they are. My stampin' sister Lisa Henke sent them to me a while back and I adore them!
The layout for this just kind of fell in place (don't you love it when that happens?!) so I went with it. I like it very much, but wish I didn't need it for the occasion.

Oh wow! I don't know why this doesn't have lots and lots of comments; it is lovely! I love so much about, well, really everything! Thank you for sharing this wonderful card. I'm glad you captured it electronically before mailing it.
