Well, I really love this month's WICKED challenges. Love these colors together, love this technique, and love the sketch that I have yet to put together.
This is my very first attempt at Color Blocking. It is a bit tricky, so I am glad I kept it simple. I don't have perfectly sized blocks, but its pretty close.
I started with the center block. Stamped the En Francais set in Basic Black, and on another scrap, colored the flower from Bella's Bloom with Tangerine Tango and Always Artichoke, and cut it out, then adhered the flower to the front of the background.
Then I cut out the other strips of paper by measuring the needed sizes, and then playing around with the layout until I found something I liked, and did any trimming as needed. The Bordering Blue pieces are stamped color on color with the Bella Toile stamp, the A. Artichoke piece color on color with the smaller flower from the Bella's Bloom set, and the T. Tango block stamped with the sentiment in B.Black, and then used a paper piercer to go around the edges. The card base is Basic Black.
I really love how this turned out. TFL, and thanks for a great challenge!
