Its all about the food . . . This challenge gave me the chance to try out a new set of Martha Stewart stamps from my VSN secret sis Garkarlon. She is a sweetheart!
I sooooo wanted to use pink with the chocolate, but this card is for a teenage boy who is under the weather, so I chose red instead.
Gingerbread men always make me think of Shrek . . . "Not the buttons! Not the gumdrop buttons!" So I had to make gumdrop button corner faux brads. Took me a few tries to get the look I wanted for the gum drops. I used red craft ink with clear EP, then clear liquid glue in a thin coat over it sprinkled with dazzling diamonds glitter, for the sugar coating they always have. The chocolate gingerbread men too, I wanted a bit glittery, so first I stamped them in chocolate chip craft ink with clear EP and while the EP was still a bit sticky, sprinkled some of the glitter on the image.
Thanks for looking!
