This is a card I made for a few things. First, it was for Beate's Be Inspired Challenge which was to be inspired by the bright children's room seen here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers
As I started to put it together, it took on a life of its own and I ended up fitting it to this month's Fan Club Central Theme and Sketch, too.
Anyway, there is no stamping on this card (gasp) but I did lots of other stuff. For Beate's challenge, I was inspired by the colors and shapes in the room as well as all the toys around. I used Basic Grey Archaic DPs that were close to the colors in the room. I used the dinosaur pattern for both the toys and for my literature theme, Jurassic Park.
I had some Jolee's palm tree stickers which I took apart and reworked by sponging them with distress inks and adding tiny gems for the coconuts. I popped these up on half pop dots. I used coordinating brads from Pink Hedgehog Paper Crafts http://www.pinkhedgehogpapercrafts.com/ and Archaic Fibers from Basic Grey. Finally, I generated the sentiment with the computer because I thought it fit well with the theme of my card.
Thanks to Beate and the Dirty Dozen for all the inspiration and TFL!
