I pulled an Anne Ryan today, my first attempt at a card sadly didn't make it! So here is my second attempt. I decided to go a whole different route, and I'm not talking pool route! LOL Nothing exciting happened today, so I'll just get on with the details......
After trashing card number one, I stamped my image on w/c paper, clear ep and colored with w/c pencils. Cut this circle out with my coluzzle. Sponged and doodled edges.
Set that aside and made the bg scene. Painted the snow with acrylic paint using light ivory because I don't like white, shading here and there on w/c paper. Drew the Rocky Mountains, which I must say are much larger in real life! I know, I have skied them back in the day. lol Stamped and eb my little trees. Sponged the clouds. Sponged the edges and doodled them plus everything else.
Put this altogether on a white card that I sponged the edges with peeled paint. Popped up the polar bear. This scene reminds me of the very cold days skiing, before snow boarding was around, with my DH in the Rocky Mountains. Now he boards the Sierras, I drink in the lodge!!!! Not really, I ski occasionally! and drink some! Well I hope you like it.....TFL :0)

I HAVE to drink BEFORE I ski. This title reminded me of John Denver singing ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGGGGGHHHHH. LOL. Great card. I think your scenes are always spectacular. I need to take notes. Great trees. The polar bear is perfectly done as always. TFS....

I couldn't wait to see what you would do with today's challenge! Free reign with watercolor paper! Well, I don't know about what ended up in the trash but this one is a winner! Love the snowy mountain scene and the adorable popped up polar bear! Awesome coloring and doodling!

I hate to be the one to tell you this but....I remember John denver's rocky mountain high ... when I was on my potty chair. My mom used to love that long haired kid from colorado. Not only did you mention his song, but I see you pulled in the colorado rockes. got too much sputnik and denver on the brain do you? See, that's what happens when you make up stories about the folsom zoo escapees when we both know it was a cellie! adorable, adorable card, Nutmeg. See what happens when you try to walk in my shoes. you toss the first and the second one comes up a winner!
