Oh, how I have been coveting the Martha butterfly punch, but sadly, it's not available in the UK. So I was chuffed to bits yesterday to find this EK Success butterfly punch at my LSS.
I was determined to use my new purchase today on a card and to take part in the 200th sketch challenge. What a great sketch - I decided to make my card a 5 3/4" square - and I think it works as well as with a rectangle card shape. I also wanted to use bright colours as it is such a vile, wet miserable day here. I flipped through an old SU! catty and found the Old Olive, Rose Red and Taken with Teal combo.
After punching the shapes I embossed them in the QuicKutz 'Curls' embossing die and then sponged on some white pigment ink. I bent up the wings and added crystals to the bodies.
