I have always loved stormy days. In fact, it's when the storm stops and the sky clears that I get depressed! LOL....Today was over-cast with a chance of showers, sheesh, I sound like a weather person. Anyway, creating this card was so much fun. I have started taking a sketch pad with me so I don't doodle so much on my daily sheets, which I end up throwing away. So at just about every pool I went to, I would sketch a little. Makes is much easier when I get home to then make a card because the thinking part has been done!......So, on to a few details........
I drew my window with the crooked mini blinds, stamped the flowers for the wall paper. Made the window panes then started stamping my little scene in the window. Did a lot of masking, embossing, coloring and what nots. Put a little snow in the corners of the window panes that kind of bled in to the scene when I used the UTEE.
Used the UTEE twice, put card in freezer for 3-5 minutes, removed and bent all around to crack the glass. You can see that part better IRL. One of the hardest parts of this card was finding a few beads for the string so I could open the blinds, then threading it on them was almost impossible! LOL......Well, I hope you like looking outside to the winter scene I have made here.......TFL :0)

Holy snowmans...is that a little outlet under the window. It must be to hang your Christmas lights. You thought of everything. Love your snowy image. I saw lots of that last year. Won't miss it this year one bit. Great job Cathy.

Oooops...you forgot to mention the plug outlet! C'mon now, nutmeg, do I have to start writing your narratives? Darling blinds...look a little dusty, but I suppose I can overlook that! Love the blind pull, too! Yikes, that doodle pad got a workout today with a sketch like this. Just fabulously darling card, Nut!

OMGoodness Cathy!!! I think this is among my favorites of what I've seen of your cards... and that's saying something because I love all of them! I do love the crooked blinds, and the pretty houses across the street... love the snowman, and the bead for the blind pull..... too much! Just adorable!

Well, personally, I hate winter...which is why I moved from Maine to Florida...but I love your card!!! Snow is pretty as long as I only have to look at it in pictures. I love that you drew your own window and blinds...what a cute idea!! tfs
