Only for breast cancer awareness month would I put these three colors together on a card....you know, the more I look at it, I kind of like them together!
As soon as I read the challenge I thought of my first dog that my DH and I bought during our first year of marriage. It was an Old English Sheepdog. The doggie on my card is not of that breed, close enough though. That is why I titled this card the way I did.
Poco was a fun first dog. He would go to work with my husband, who at the time built houses. Oh, the stories I could tell you about that. Anyway, we learned that he had to have sunblock on his nose or he would get sunburned. Also, when it rained or snowed his collar would turn his white hair pink! Our friends called him Pinky! Not good for his image! LOL So that is why my little doggie here has pink on him. Now about the slippers, it just went with the color theme. My dog would never be caught in pink slippers!....blue maybe, but not pink!
To make this card, I stamped my image, colored with w/c pencils, versa marked and clear eb. Cut it out. Did the pink slippers twice so I could pop up a pair.
I had some left over black and white dp I was playing with so I turned it into a rug. Added the embroidery floss to make it authentic. Made the bg panel by stamping with itty bitty bg and black ink, versa marked and clear eb. Put a stripe of pink in the middle and stippled acrylic paint on the bottom.
Made a card out of pink pirouette cs, painted black and white squares on the edges with a brush. Put my main bg panel down, then the rug, then popped up the dog and the extra slippers. Stamped and layered the sentiment, which I totally agree with, then popped it up.
This is my first attempt at one of those ribbon bow things, so that is why I put it on here! Didn't want to waste it. Hope you like it........the card that is!....TFL :0)

Cathy Cathy Cathy. ONLY you would actually make fringe on your rug. That is totally awesome. I just love it. I think the sentiment is so true. I tell ya if my dog doesn't like someone I really take notice. You did an incredible job here. Terrific as always.

Just so hilarious the dog stories, but your sentiment, I find is so true. I love your ribbon, you did so good on it. A+. I sure could use those slippers though.
Fine work Cathy and thanks for the chuckles this made me have!
