Todays inspiration challenge piece comes from the beautiful artwork of Japanese artist Mizue Hirano. I chose this piece of hers for the basis of my card:
I wanted to keep this card really simple in order to focus on the artwork of the inspiration piece, so I only used ribbon for an embellishment. Everything else is simply stamping incorporating stamps from three different stamps sets. Each image was stamped into the ink pad, stamped off and then water misted for a watercolor affect. I also wanted to keep the balance I saw in the inspiration piece with the right side of her artwork being heavier than the left side.
Thanks Stef and Katie for selecting such beautiful artwork for today's IC!!

This is so beautiful, Charlene! You've captured the chocolate box perfectly with the vibrant colors and stamps you chose! I love the misted look! Wonderful IC card!

You so got the water color effect! It is so pretty Charlene. I love the colors and that little polka dotted ribbon add just the right amount of embellishment and still keeps it simple as you wish! It is very pretty! You are so into the details which makes for wonderful cards!
I look forward to your poem! Snort! Now get that big butt Bertie in gear and get ready for your company!!!
